Sem prva generacija škofijcev, imel sem različne razrednike. Najprej je bil to profesor Kurinčič, potem profesorica Miriam Stanonik, nekaj časa ravnatelj Jože Mlakar, nazadnje pa profesorica Dragica Fabjan. Moj drugi tuji jezik je bil francoščina, učil pa sem se tudi staro grščino.

Zakaj si se vpisal na ŠKG?

Takrat je bila ŠKG še neznanka, meni pa je bila všeč jezikoslovna naravnanost, priznam, da me je zelo zanimala latinščina, ki je bila eden od mojih najljubših predmetov.

Najljubši spomin iz otroštva?

Uau, kakšno specifično vprašanje. Ljubih spominov iz otroštva imam veliko. Eden od ljubših je spomin na moj prvi pristanek na afriških tleh, kamor sem potoval z očetom, ki je iz Burundija. Spomnim se občutka blagodejnosti podnebja. Bilo je, kot da bi se potopil v ozračje, ki me je takoj sprejelo.

Kakšne sanje si imel kot otrok?

Kot otrok sem mislil, da bom postal pisatelj. Ampak me je poleg pripovedovanja zgodb kmalu začela zanimati tudi glasba. Nisem pa še opustil misli, da kaj napišem.

Najljubši spomin ali anekdota iz srednješolskih dni?

Lepe spomine imam na koncerte z našim bendom Captamur. Sem zelo hvaležen vodstvu šole, ki nam je takrat omogočilo, da smo vadili v šolskih prostorih. Ko se spomnim nazaj, da smo imeli koncert v zavodski dvorani in so dijaki skakali z odra med publiko (stage diving), mi gre vedno na smeh. Sošolec je enkrat skočil, ravno takrat so se vsi razmaknili in naslednji dan mi je jamral, da si je skoraj zlomil nogo.

S čim se v življenju trenutno ukvarjaš?

Trenutno sem zelo dejaven v gledališču. Ustanovil sem tudi svoje gledališče, ki se imenuje Gledališče MalihVelikih. V okviru le-tega ustvarjamo predstave za otroke, interaktivne pripovedovalske predstave in predstave za odrasle, povsod pa je bistven element glasba. To soboto (20.10.) imamo ravno premiero novega lutkovnega muzikala z naslovom Super Brina v Siti teatru v Ljubljani.

Na kateri svoj dosežek si najbolj ponosen?

Hm, sliši se klišejsko, ampak ponosen sem na to, da sem sledil svojemu srcu in da počnem to, kar me res navdihuje in izpolnjuje. Po izobrazbi sem namreč pravnik z opravljenim pravosodnim izpitom, po nekaj letih dela v pravu pa sem to popolnoma opustil in se posvetil ustvarjanju, predvsem v glasbi in v gledališču. Zadnje čase sodelujem tudi pri plesnih predstavah, kot dramaturg, glasbenik in tudi plesalec.

Za kaj v življenju si najbolj hvaležen?

Najbolj sem hvaležen za svojo družino in za to, da lahko potujem skozi življenje z osebo, s katero naju veže močna medsebojna ljubezen in zaradi katere postajam boljši človek.

Če bi lahko na večerjo povabil enega človeka, ki te navdihuje – kdo bi to bil?

Povabil bi dalajlamo. Poleg tega, da bi izvedel marsikaj poučnega, bi se najbrž tudi zelo zabaval.

Why I Travel Solo?

If several languages coalesce, the grammar of the resulting language is more simple and regular than that of the individual languages. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental and in fact, it will be Occidental.
